Reflections

~

I

A figure standing motionless in a snow driven courtyard. The only breath of life in sight, yet melancholy still, a breath of life more like breathing death. A fragment of sadness in his stance, behind it a flood of despair.

II

A figure kneeling frozen for a moment, knees pressed down upon hot baking sand. No other sign of life in the swirls of burning dust, just a small corpse being cradled by sobbing wracks of pain.

III

Upon the softness of airs wings, laid out the form of one now lost, an expression of peace and solitude, a final innocence surrounded by daggers of pain unleashed in wails and cheeks stained with salty rivers.

IV

Splayed out among weeds and thorns, hands frozen forever grasping out to thin air, the form of one now lost, remaining now, writhing still from when breath last departed, the peace and solitude of an empty landscape devoid of caring.
