No Such Thing as Werewolves by Chris Fox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

While I read this book I kept thinking about another book I had read, The Atlantis Gene, and I came to realize that not all indie books are crap. This book was so much better than I was expecting – cheesy cover, title, and all.

First though, I know the author. My bestie from college is marrying him, and she wanted us to meet. Afterwards I thought, what the hell, I’ll buy one of his books.

I just bought the sequel too…

Anyway, hard as it may be to believe, this will be an unbiased review. So…

PROS:
1. I love how the werewolf myth is explained.
2. The women are not freaking damsels in distress. Again, I repeat, there are no damsels, only bad ass women.
3. The characterizations are pretty decent. I now understand why everyone is a fan of Trevor. I am now a fan of Trevor.

CONS:

It’s not a biggy but the book still has quite a few errors in it.

Either way, kudos Chris. Now I’m off to read book 2.
